I know a lot of people can't wait for school to start, but I always have mixed emotions about it.
First, I absolutely love autumn here in Western Pennsylvania! Fall is my favorite time of the year…probably because I was born in November, married in the Fall over 20 years ago, and both my babies—my daughter and my business will be 17 years old next month!
Second, every year about this time I feel the need to expand and improve my own personal work as well as add to my business in such a way as to benefit my loyal staff and clients of many years.
Fall is like January–a time of new beginnings—time to start anew! I consider Fall a great time to re-align and renew my energies to better serve my clients and customers, as well as create more peace in our relationships.
Even if you do not have school-age children, the back-to-school ritual still impacts us all. Many see summer as is a time to slow down. We take vacations and days away from work to enjoy beautiful weather that rejuvenates us —especially we who endure harsh winters. There is a collective energy that signals new beginnings—like New Year’s Eve!
Today, I want to share with you a few tips designed to help you and your family ease back into your school mindset and Fall routines.
This year you will see many changes here at Coaching from Spirit! I am super-charged and almost ready to make a big announcement. It is unlike anything I ever offered and will be free to all who wish to join me in a new creative adventure. I am hopeful you can make time to play with us then! More to follow in the weeks ahead!
Back to School and Work…
3 Tips to Kick Off a Joy-Filled Fall!
1. Be realistic about new beginnings! Too many clients take on back-to-school tasks, losing weight, making a six-figure income to be done asap. To enjoy a wonderful heart-centered business and re-engineer your relationship, focus on one project at a time…Create a clear plan and focus your renewed energy on making things happen—one day at a time!
2. Resign being ‘Manager of the Universe!
I get being a mom the seeming need to do everything for your family… I still make my daughter’s lunch! I rise an hour early in order to make my husband and daughter’s breakfast –making sure they get their vitamins, lunches, coffee and a kiss on the way out That feels good to me, so I continue to do it…However, in the past I tried to fix their problems for them without being asked.
Women too often take on the role of Manager of the Universe! We believe we have to take care of everything for everyone all the time. I am working on letting go and helping my daughter enjoy being independent and being able to take care of herself while still at home with us. Just another way to insure her future success living away from home and on her own or perhaps married
3. Use the ‘Invisible Plan’
The desire to protect our families from all harm or hurt whenever things go wrong is understandable. But you have to remain calm and keep the faith for everyone involved! Maybe your child doesn’t make the team, or a BFF relationship falls apart—you name it.. These are things you cannot wave a magic wand over and cure…but you can teach them how to turn such matters over to a higher power and make declarations that whatever is wrong will work out…sensing you, too, are guided by a Divine source or Power using whatever words work for you. Visualize everyone happy—telling you it worked out; seeing all involved being at peace. Honestly, you will be amazed at the miracles that will happen if you follow this ‘Invisible Plan’!!
