This is a foundational question we get asked a lot!
In this heart-centered group of entrepreneurs, we feel like our services can support so many people. How can you choose just one group?
When we don't choose a group and try and be everything for everybody, our energy is scattered and the results that we get lead us to experience feast or famine with our client load and our finances.
We then get stuck choosing this ideal group and fall into the fear choosing the wrong one. Our fear leads us to believe that we have to get it perfect from the very beginning in order to succeed.
By not identifying a specific group of people that you can help, it makes it difficult to language what you do. Talking to potential clients is then drudgery, and you'll miss out on important information that helps them to identify with your solutions, so that you both will know that a vibrational match has been made.
In essence by not identifying a specific group that you love to work with, you're leaving money on the table. Money that could be in your pocket as well as establishing a relationship with a happy client that will then go out and talk about your services and how you helped them to transform their challenges into miracles!
Imagine the next time you go to a networking event and you stand up and clearly describe what you do in the short amount of time given, “I am a Holistic Health Coach, and I specialize in supporting women on their weight loss journey. I use an inner and outer approach to weight loss and love to help my clients discover the core beliefs that are driving their behaviors of over eating. When my clients first come to me they are not always aware of what their triggers are, and once we work together to establish what they are, we then move forward with more control over those behaviors that were once unconsciously driven.”
Afterwards you are approached by 2-3 people that say to you “Wow, I feel like you were talking directly to me when you stood up! I'd love to learn more about what you do.”
So, how DO you choose your ideal niche?
One step is to ask your inner guidance and your ideal client/customer some questions. Some of the key questions to ask are:
- What problems/challenges have I solved myself that I can help others solve?
- What do I get most jazzed about when helping others overcome/heal?
- Can I identify a group of people with this problem?
These questions came off of our 6-step Soul Group Niche Identification Template that we provide in our VIP Mentor Membership Circle.
We recently coached one of our members on this very subject.
Watch and listen to the short video below of Sharon asking the question “Am I my Soul Client?” I am sure you'll be pleasantly surprised by her answer and maybe it will help you to experience a shift in the way you are currently thinking about your niche!
