Once a month, Sharon takes a call to support people that want to start or grow their business using an inner and outer approach. Here is a question that was recently asked:
Q: I'm still feeling a sense of not being clear on my niche in coaching. I feel that my coaching niche is too vague. I want to support people in making transformations, but I am not really clear who or what to focus in on.
A: One of the things that we’ve talked about in many of our programs is the idea that not knowing your niche can cause you to procrastinate. Feeling like there is a perfect niche to develop, but not knowing exactly what that niche is, sometimes stops you from ever getting started. One of the things that’s important for you to do when you’re looking at your system, in your case being a Transformational Coach, is that you need to think about what the challenges and issues will be, as well as the things that you’ve gone through that you would like to be able to use to support people with? There’s going to be this natural pull; you might find your niche naturally by having people show up. I’ll give you an example: Helene is a Therapist, but she is also a Coach. She’s done a lot of work with prosperity coaching and recently, Helene has been having clients showing up, both on her therapy side and her coaching side, that really want to use their business intuition. They want to create a deeper connection to their business intuition, so they’re coming to her, and wanting her to support them in being more effective in their businesses. It’s really coming down to Helene supporting them in their business intuition and because that’s showing up, Helene is really getting this universal “Ah hah,” or “You’re on track”, with the idea that that’s what’s showing up, and she’s feeling a real pull, a real excitement for working with people in activating their business intuition and then applying that to the various aspects of building their business.
